Before the next total solar eclipse in America on April 8, 2024, two other major solar eclipses will occur around the world: a hybrid solar eclipse—which morphs between an annular eclipse and a total eclipse—in Australia and Asia and an annular solar eclipse in the U.S., Central America, and South America. The maps below show the paths of totality or annularity of those two eclipses. To experience the total or annular phases of the eclipses, you must be located within the paths of totality or annularity represented on the maps below. Areas outside the paths of totality or annularity will get partial solar eclipses only.
Also shown below are maps of other annular and total solar eclipses occurring around the world after the April 8, 2024, total solar eclipse.
