On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will occur in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Hot Springs, and the adjacent Hot Springs National Park, is located about halfway between the centerline and the eastern edge of the eclipse path, resulting in very respectable totality durations for this historic resort town. Totality will last for about 3 minutes and 37 seconds in downtown Hot Springs. The park itself is one of only two U.S. national parks located along the path of totality. This unique distinction, along with long durations and the tourist amenities offered by the city, will make Hot Springs a popular viewing destination on April 8.
