On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will occur in Conway, Arkansas. Conway is located between the centerline and the eastern edge of the eclipse path, closer to the former rather than the latter. In the downtown Conway area, totality will last for about 3 minutes and 53 seconds on April 8, a very generous duration of darkness. Interstate 40, which runs through Conway, bisects the entire path of totality and provides quick and easy access to the maximum durations of totality on the eclipse centerline for anyone who wants to leave the city on eclipse day and squeeze every second of totality out of their eclipse experience.
