In the 21st century, ten total solar eclipses will occur in the U.S., eight of which will be visible from the contiguous U.S. The map below shows the paths of totality of those eight eclipses. To experience the total phases of upcoming eclipses, you must be located within the paths of totality represented on the map below. Areas outside the paths of totality will get partial solar eclipses only.
