On June 21, 2020, an annular, or "ring of fire," solar eclipse occurred in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. In Africa, the path of annularity crossed over the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic, South Sudan, Sudan, Ethiopia, and Eritrea. In the Middle East, the path of annularity crossed over Yemen, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. In Asia, the path of annularity crossed over Pakistan, India, and China. The maximum duration of annularity for this eclipse was 38 seconds. The maps below show the path of annularity over Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
